CHAI’s global compensation framework was implemented in 2014 to support CHAI’s mission by enabling teams to attract and retain highly qualified people. The driving principles behind CHAI’s compensation framework are equity, comparable pay for comparable work globally, transparency, consistency and ease of administration.

 

CHAI is seeking a Senior Analyst, Global Compensation to work within the People Operations team. The Senior Associate, Global Compensation will support the day-to-day implementation of CHAI’s global compensation framework. This individual will bring a strong analytical background, adept at interpreting and leveraging data to drive informed decisions.

 

The team is open to base locations in other countries where CHAI operates and pending country team leadership approval.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Global People Ops team on compensation related topics.
  • Develop and maintain salary administration tools, utilizing Excel VBA programming to create and revise tools as needed.
  • Conduct market analysis research to inform compensation decisions, assisting with benchmarking and related processes.
  • Provide support for day-to-day compensation inquiries, addressing questions and concerns from employees and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing the year-end compensation process, including the creation, management, and tracking of compensation change spreadsheets.
  • Participate in salary survey completion, ensuring accurate and timely submission of data.
  • Contribute to compensation initiatives within the Talent Strategy Initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to drive impactful projects forward.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analysis skills, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong Excel skills and demonstrated ability to create data analysis and dashboards. This includes formulas, vlookups and pivot tables, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all work.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of HR administration
  • Previous experience with global compensation (RPI, taxation, currency, etc.).
  • Python, SQL, and Tableau experience is a plus.
  • Experience in an NGO or international setting.
